UNITED STATES – It was the most spectacular play of a miserable night for the New York Yankees, but will it eventually cost Jazz Chisholm playing time?

Chisholm sustained a left elbow injury Monday night while making a hard slide at home plate in the Yankess 12-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

After showing discomfort following the play, he exited the game in the seventh inning when ben rice was brought in to pinch hit.

Initial x-rays Monday night were negative.

Before the injury, Chisholm was having another productive night at the plate for the al east contenders: he was 2-3, with a run scored.

Golf

Team Bahamas had a third place finish at the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships.

The Bahamas finished fifth last year in the Cayman Islands but improved two spots this year at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club in Kingston, Jamaica.

The team scored 120 points and trailed only eventual champion Puerto Rico with 154 points and the Dominican Republic with 131 points.

Anissa Robinson was the top finisher in the girls 11-13 flight with a score of 249 and Haley Hall was ranked fifth overall with a total gross of 265.

Madison Carroll-Carlos was second in the 15-and-under girls’ flight with a total gross of 247 for second place while Chemari Pratt was sixth at 267.

Mia Underwood was ninth  in the girls 18 and under with a score of 285. 

In the boys 15 and under kerrington rolle had the best finish of the three with his total of 230 to finish fourth.

Aidan Gorospe and Zakary Joseph concluded with scores of 233 and 236 respectively. 

Rashawn Hanna was seventh and juan wilson was tenth in the boys’ 11 to 13 flight. 

In the boys 18 and under Angelino Cooper was 16th, Camdyn Forbes was 18th and Christopher Callander was 20th.

Bodybuilding

After receiving her second pro card, Cara Saunders hit the bodybuilding stage once again.

Saunders made her debut in the ifbb professional league – the 13th Annual Wolfpack Chicago Pro Show.

Saunders earned the IFBB pro card, the second of her career – back in June at the Toronto Pro Super Show and Pro Qualifier 2024

The two-time overall national champion in Women’s Wellness won title in Women’s Open Wellness Class A.

Her ultimate goal, qualification for the Olympia.
