Shelter Admin: It’s Not Our End Goal For People To Be Tossed Out

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Officials at the temporary shelter at the Poinciana Inn that’s operated by the Department of Social Services seeking to clarify how the facility is operated.

Last week, a group of concerned Bahamians protested outside the inn after four women claimed they were evicted from the temporary shelter with nowhere to go.

Administrator Dawn Darling updates us on the status of those women.

One said she would have to sleep in the back of her car with her six children.

She says in addition to this , they try their best to prepare their residents for life post shelter.
