NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accused killer will remain behind bars after a judge refused his bail application.

Twenty-three-year-old Dana Guillaume is accused of the July 1, 2024 murder of Junior Denier.
Prosecutors say Guillaume allegedly killed Denier and seriously wounded two others at a nightclub on the S C Bottle Highway in Abaco.

Justice Andrew Forbes refused Guillaume’s bail to protect public order and to reduce the possibility of witness interference.

However, he said that Guillaume could reapply if he’s not tried in a reasonable time.
Meanwhile, another murder accused had his bail reduced from $30,000 to $9,900.

Marvin Augustin’s bail was initially offered bail in December 2023 for the August 6, 2022 shooting death of Ayundo Louis at Rockcrusher Road.

However, he remained in custody for over a year because his relatives couldn’t post his bond. With no trial date imminent, Augustin’s bail was reduced.
