NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has refused bail to a 29-year-old man accused of a quadruple shooting that killed two men held in custody for the safety of the public.

Dominique Rolle, otherwise known as D Money, is accused of the murders of Akeem Davis and Lavonne Dawkins and the attempted murders of Shakeem Campbell and Deshawn Rogers.

The shooting happened at Third Street, Coconut Grove on May 14, 2021, and Rolle is expected to be tried in November.

In refusing bail, Justice Franklyn Williams KC noted that Rolle has prior convictions for gun possession and is accused of committing other crimes while using a firearm.

Williams said placing Rolle under curfew and monitoring him electronically would not suffice to protect public safety and ordered.
