NASSAU, BAHAMAS – ZNS workers and members of the Bahamas Communications and Public Officers Union protested outside the corporation’s headquarters Friday over late salary payments, overtime, and rodent infestation.

Union President Sherry Burrows spoke on behalf of the workers.

Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas Chairman Picewell Forbes responded to the demonstration calling it surprising.

He claims is not aware of any breakdown in communication between the union and general manager.

General Manager Clint Watson was out of the country at the time of the protest.

In responding to the accusations, Forbes went on the defense claiming the corporation has done its part in meeting employee needs.

Forbes says despite the concerns, the corporation will move ahead.
