NASSAU, BAHAMAS – “Very, very disappointed,” is how Bahamas Public Service Union President Kimsley Ferguson says members of his union are with the response of the Government of The Bahamas to their concerns.

“There is a serious cause for concern when there is no integrity in the leadership of the country – I stand by that in a very, very serious way,” Ferguson told reporters outside the House of Assembly Wednesday morning.

Dozens of union members gathered downtown to get action on government on salary increases and claims of union busting tactics by the government.

Ferguson says there is no one to speak for public servants in the House of Assembly, and the information being shared is incorrect.

Meanwhile, union workers chanted, “we want our money, and we want it now.”
