NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Consumer Affairs and Consumer Protection Commission building moving to a new home Monday. Officials were on hand to cut the ribbon for the new facility.

Minister responsible Michael Halkitis says there are key areas where government feels inclined to offer protection to consumers.

He says officials are also moving to digitize the inspection process.

Moving forward, he says government is reviewing legislation to modernize consumer protection for all Bahamians.

Halkitis says the plan is to expand services and resources throughout the Family Islands.
