Police Commissioner Fernander is condemning the person who leaked a breakdown of a police performance competition called “Operation Teams”.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police Commissioner Clayton Fernander is condemning the person who leaked a breakdown of a police performance competition called “Operation Teams” where four teams would collect points-based on things like arrests, seizures, tickets, and search warrants.
While some have questioned what might be seen as the gamification of law enforcement, Fernander is defending the incentive program.
While some felt the point system is trivializing law enforcement, Fernander says the performance competition is meant to encourage officers and he says the evidence can be seen on the streets.
