PARIS, FRANCE – Devynne Charlton highlighted Team Bahamas’ performance at the Paris Olympics with her second finals appearance in the 100m hurdles.
Charlton finished sixth in 12.56 seconds but was visibly disappointed in the results.
The 60m hurdles world record holder got an uncharacteristically slow start out of the blocks citing what she assumed was going to be false start
Despite the result, Charlton is already looking ahead to completing her 2024 season on a high note, and as always, thanked the Bahamian public for their continued support.

Jazz Chisholm has had a seamless transition to the New York Yankees.
He’s been putting up historic numbers during this 13 game run with the Yankees so far.
That run also included a pair of multi home run games.
The last two homers came on saturday’s double header against the rangers to give chisholm the 20/20 milestone for the season.
He set new season highs with 20 home-runs and 25 stolen bases so far.
As a Yankee, Chisholm has a .296/.345/.704 slash line with 7 home runs, and 11 RBI.
Baseball
Freedom Farm Baseball League came up just a few runs short in the Championship Game but it was still a historic run at Little League World Series title.
Freedom Farm finished as runners up after a 5-1 loss to Tulare (California) in Cal Ripken Baseball’s 9-u World Series Title game Sunday afternoon in Florence, Alabama.
Christian King, Amier Darville, and Malik Sands were named to the all-tournament team, while Graycin Newball and Mandella Curry received the gold glove award.
The team was managed my Marlon Bostwick.
They completed pool play undefeated at 5-0 with a 10-2 win over Muscle Shoals, 8-1 win over Lineville, 6-4 win over Unionville, a 16-4 win over Florence navy and 2-1 win over Mount Olive.
Another Freedom Farm team is currently in action at the Cal Ripken major 70 World Series for the 12-u division in Branson, Missouri.
Managed by Greg Burrows Jr, the team is currently 1-1 after a debut 16-0 win over Belgium and a 7-2 loss to Chinese Taipei.
Meanwhile, D’shawn knowles is on the move with a new franchise.
After spending seven seasons in the Los Angeles Angels’ farm system, Knowles signed with the Sioux Falls explorers of American Association of Professional Baseball.
Knowles stepped right into the starting lineup in centerfield and hitting in the leadoff spot.
He hit a two-rbi single to help ignite an explorers offense en route to a 12-5 win over the Fargo-Moorehead Redhawks.
He spent the bulk of this season at the triple a level with the salt lake bees of the international league.
In 35 games, he hit .202 with 14 RBI and scored 14 runs.
