Egg Academy Launched at BAMSI

ANDROS, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Agriculture is stepping up its efforts in the fight against food security and improving sustainability in the local poultry sector. 

An egg-tastic day at The Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) with agriculture officials holding a grand opening ceremony at the grounds in San Andros for its new egg program. Agriculture Minister Clay Sweeting was on hand for the launch.

In addition to housing eggs at the facilities, 10 chicks were given to three farmers from the community. 

They say their program along with the donation makes life much easier.
