Emergency Bail Given For Correction’s Officer Accused of Murder Conspiracy
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A corrections officer accused of conspiracy to commit murder has been granted $20,000 emergency bail.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A corrections officer accused of conspiracy to commit murder has been granted $20,000 emergency bail.
Shante Taylor, 21, is accused of plotting with others to kill Elvardo Thompson.
He was gunned down as he sat in a truck in front of Taylor’s home in Pinecrest Subdivision on July 20.
Taylor appeared before Justice Neil Brathwaite for a bail, one day after she was remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.
Taylor’s bail was deemed an emergency as she’s anemic.
As a condition of bail, Taylor must wear an ankle bracelet, sign in at the Elizabeth Estates Police Station twice weekly and she’s forbidden from contacting prosecution witnesses either directly, or indirectly.
A breach of either of these conditions could result in bail revocation.
