FOAM Director: More Compassion Needed for Rape Victims

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Director for Families of All Murder Victims (FOAM) Khandi Gibson, telling reporters she is not pleased with the process that rape victims must endure when reporting to local stations.

In addition to lack of communication, Gibson says victims are not offered privacy when reporting assaults.

She says more confidentiality must be extended.

Another bone of contention for the advocate, the handling of victims once in-station interviews are complete.

Gibson believes officers should assist with the transportation of victims as well.
