Former Wanted Suspect Charged with Flemming Street Murder

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A former wanted suspect is behind bars on a murder charge.

Prosecutors allege that 18-year-old Ahkeem Nixon fatally shot Edward Thompson on March 11.

According to police, the 27-year-old was walking along Fleming Street when a gunman on a bicycle shot him multiple times.

Nixon didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge when he stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

He was denied bail and is next due in court on July 12 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
