Georgia Senate Runoff Vote: Warnock Wins

UNITED STATES – The 2022 midterm elections may have taken an extra month but they have now finally come to a close, with Raphael Warnock’s re-election in Georgia.

Democrats not only now maintain control of the U.S senate, but they have also expanded their margin in the chamber by one seat.

Americans across the country went to the polls in record numbers during this year’s midterms, but on Tuesday Georgia and its senate run-off were center stage.

Three and a half hours after polls closed in Georgia, Warnock led the republican candidate, Herschel Walker, by approximately 40,000 votes.
