INDONESIA – At least 10 people died after Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in Eastern Indonesia erupted, spewing explosive plumes of lava.

Officials said volcanic material was thrown up 3 point 7 miles from its crater, blanketing nearby villages and towns with tons of volcanic debris and forcing residents to flee.

At least 10 people had died and rescuers were still searching for more bodies buried under collapsed houses.

Ten thousand people have been affected by the eruption in six villages.
