NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Jet ski operators who run their businesses from Goodman’s Bay Beach say they were left in the dark about the lane closures due to the CARIFTA Triathlon events happening at the beach Saturday morning.

They say the lane closures and barricades effectively prevented them from operating, as they were unable to bring their vehicles into the area and taxi drivers were blocked from dropping off guests.

They expressed their outrage and frustration.

The operators say this isn’t the first time they’ve been overlooked and uninformed when it came to events, they say it has happened once before, earlier this summer.

But Russell says this time it’s especially concerning as they approach the slow season as fall approaches.
