NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On April 7th, a woman filed a complaint with police in Grand Bahama against a sitting MP.

The victim alleges, the MP raped and abused her, but Davis says it seems the victim doesn’t want to press charges.

However, Our News contacted the family of the victim who said otherwise.

The victim’s mother said the family is moving forward with it.

Davis was also asked if he received any prior complaints about the MP which he denied.

In a voice note Friday, PLP chairman and Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell said the party’s leader instructed all MPs to remain silent on this issue.
