NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An armed robbery suspect was shot and killed following an exchange of gunfire with police, Monday evening.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An armed robbery suspect was shot and killed following an exchange of gunfire with police, Monday evening. The latest coming from police on the scene of the country’s latest homicide in Gamble Heights.
Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings tells members of the media the coroner is on the scene.
Officers say they were tipped off to the sighting of a wanted suspect at a home in Gamble Heights around 5pm, Monday. Reports are the suspect began an exchange of gunfire with police and was fatally shot.
Police say they recovered a handgun and ammunition from the deceased.
Our News understands a woman was questioned in relation to the incident, however police could not confirm whether or not another person was in the house at the time of the shooting.
