NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Earlier this week we highlighted a 10-year-old Queen’s College sixth grader who helped feed the hungry. Today, we’re focusing on how more parents can encourage their children to take part by offering a helping hand in their community.

That’s Nylah Symonette, the 10-year old-student of the year for Queen’s College.

She’s been busy at work with multiple community service projects including the posh girls symposium, which focused on helping teen girls improve self esteem and understand mental health.

More recently, her “Stamp Out Hunger” initiative has received national media recognition after she collected thousands of food-stamps to feed the hungry.
