NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Holy Week began today in the Christian Church as many are celebrating Palm Sunday, leading up to Resurrection Sunday, also known as Easter Sunday.

Next to Christmas, Easter is one of the most sacred times on the Christian calendar.

For many, it begins with Lent, signifying the 40 days and nights that Jesus fasted and prayed.

Coming to a culmination on Easter Sunday with Jesus’ ascension into heaven.
