NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A common cry from many Nassauvians is that there isn’t anything to do on the island, but renaissance man Rik Carey has created a space for all artists and lovers of art to meet under the Kamalame tree.

Rik Carey, a solo artist and one of the front men for Baha Men, has a new event space – Kamalame Place,  at the intersection of Soldier Road and Kennedy Subdivision – that marries his love for music and art.

Carey says it’s a concept he has been working on for many years.

He says he’s seen many beautiful things throughout his travels that have inspired him to bring the best of it all to our backyard.

Rik understands the unique needs that many creatives have, and he built a venue that matched their creative visions with mass appeal.
