TEXAS, UNITED STATES – Keyshawn Strachan won the javelin title at the 44th Farms Teams’ Invitational in College Station, Texas.

The New Providence born thrower claimed the title with a heave of 80 meters even.

His throw was the 2nd longest throw by a cornhusker, in the program’s 136-year history.

Not only that, his throw was also a meet record and a facility record.

He was one of four huskers to come in the top 9 in the meet.

Nebraska alum, NCAA women’s javelin record holder, Rhema Otabor also picked up a gold, winning the Oklahoma Throw Series Invitational yesterday, with a throw of 60.03 meters.
