Swimmers Return Home, Hit the Track and Get Warm Reception

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 39-member CARIFTA Aquatics Team returned to New Providence on Monday evening just before 6:00pm before heading to the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium where they received a warm reception from the crowd following the final relays.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 39-member CARIFTA Aquatics Team returned to New Providence on Monday evening just before 6:00pm before heading to the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium where they received a warm reception from the crowd following the final relays.

The swimmers, coaches, chaperones, parents and executives were then hosted to a Welcome Reception at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

Bahamas Aquatics Federation President Algernon Cargill along with State Minister for Education Zane Lightbourne, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Mario Bowleg and Prime Minster Philip Davis all addressed those gathered.

The team has now won the CARIFTA Aquatics Championships seven out of the last eight times.

The championships will be held in The Bahamas next year.
