NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Petra Haven. If you don’t know who she is, just know this, she plays a key role with sports administration in The Bahamas.

Haven, who serves as the executive director for the Bahamas Anti-Doping Commission (BADC), was recently recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 honoree by Professional Services Bahamas at Baha Mar.

She says sports administrators don’t often get recognized so she was grateful for people see her work and recognize her worth.

And Haven shared more about what her day to day work entails.

“The Bahamas Anti-Doping Commission is responsible for testing and education so it is our role to ensure clean sports throughout in The bahamas,” she said. “We test not only with swimming and track but also all the additional sports, anything that’s represented under the Olympic umbrella.”

Now when it comes down to the actual testing, Haven walked me and my cameraman Terran through the process. We will break that down for you in another report.
