NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The trial of four policemen accused of unlawfully killing a suspect has been pushed back to next year.

Archibald Miller, Lee Dormeus and Thomas Thurston face a murder charge concerning the November 13, 2021 shooting death of Danrico Carey in Nassau Village, while Kevin Greenslade is accused of causing dangerous harm to him.

Police initially said the officers were in fear for their lives when Carey allegedly pointed a gun at them.

The men were supposed to be tried this month, but prosecutors are awaiting a pathologist report.

The trial is now set to begin on April 21, 2025.
