Viral Video Highlights Taxi Issues In GB

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A video circulating on social media showing a group of tourists on the island of Bimini waiting on taxis at a local resort.

The person holding the camera can be heard noting that there were only two drivers available to take them around the town.

The source also noting that some cab drivers are in possession of taxi licenses but not a public service license.

Well our news team reached out to President of the Taxi Cab Union, Wesley Ferguson, who explained what is required of drivers.

Ferguson says anyone operating without all of the proper documentation is essentially engaged in what is known as “Hacking”.

He says obtaining a public services license is more than simply submitting an application.
