USA – Four astronauts will fly around the moon late next year and for the first time, that number will include a woman and an African American man assigned to a lunar mission.

This is also the first moon crew to include someone from outside the U.S. as one member is Canadian.

The astronauts will be the first to fly NASA’s Orion capsule, launching atop a space launch system rocket from Kennedy Space Center no earlier than late 2024.

This first moon crew in 50 years was introduced during a ceremony in Houston on Monday.
