UNITED STATES – A deal to shift TikTok’s U.S. operations to American hands is now on hold, being caught in the crossfire of the escalating U.S.-China trade war.

After months of negotiations, investors like Oracle and Blackstone had agreed to terms with ByteDance, with Trump expected to sign off. However, just hours after announcing new tariffs on China, the Chinese government pulled back.

Now, trump’s extending the TikTok deadline by 75 days, as the deal remains in limbo.
