WORLDWIDE – Ford is recalling more than 200,000 vehicles due to a software glitch that can cause rearview cameras to fail, potentially increasing the risk of crashes.

That’s according to a notice filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall affects several popular models, including the Bronco Sport, Escape, Explorer, and F-150, spanning model years 2019 through 2024.

Ford says the defect may cause the camera image to go blank or stay on the screen after reversing.
