NASSAU, BAHAMAS – They call it Guide Right — a mentorship initiative created by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and now implemented here in The Bahamas by the fraternity’s alumni chapter.

Each week, fraternity members meet with a group of young men, leading sessions designed to build character, leadership, and life skills.

The goal is to help students chart a positive course for their futures, grounded in the core ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi: achievement, integrity, and service.

The first session, lead by legal and policy officer, Tonesa Munnings, focused on identity and self-awareness, encouraging students to reflect on who they are, where they come from, and who they want to become.

The Guide Right Program is one of several community outreach efforts the fraternity has spearheaded this year, alongside scholarship initiatives, volunteer drives, and youth engagement programs.

The 10th and 11th grade students share what they hope to gain over the next 8 weeks.

Fraternity leaders say this is just the beginning, with plans to expand the mentorship initiative.
