Rolle: “We Have A Country To Save, We Have A Country To Fight For”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The area outside Remnant Tabernacle Church left no doubt this morning that the Golden Isles by-election is officially underway.

Even with fewer than 300 voters eligible for the advanced poll, political parties turned out in full force, including Coalition of Independents candidate Brian Rolle and party leader Lincoln Bain.

Rolle, who is facing off against PLP candidate Darron Pickstock, FNM candidate Brian Brown, and independent candidate Karen Butler, says he remains focused on the issues affecting residents.

Rolle pointed to several concerns he hopes to address if elected, including flooding, persistent mosquito problems, coal burning in the area, and the loss of forested land.

He says he believes the election represents a critical turning point for the country.

Rolle told Our News he has been overwhelmed by the support from COI members and residents. He says his team worked late into the night preparing for the advanced poll and he is grateful for their commitment.

Party leader Lincoln Bain says the momentum behind the COI speaks for itself. Bain argues that the high cost of living, failing public services, and quality of life concerns should push voters to consider the COI as a real alternative.

Despite the small advanced poll turnout, the Golden Isles constituency remains the largest in the country with nearly 8,000 registered voters. The bulk of ballots will be cast on Election Day.
