NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A mother is pleading for justice tonight after she says her daughter was brutally attacked at C.V. Bethel Senior High School. The incident was caught on camera, and the disturbing video has since gone viral on social media.

In the footage, two female students are seen in a violent altercation as classmates record and cheer. But according to the mother of one of the girls, her daughter wasn’t fighting, she was being assaulted.

Mamwie Henfield says she was horrified when she recognized her daughter in the video.

“I couldn’t believe that was my daughter being dragged all over the table like that,” she told Our News.

Henfield says the attack left her daughter seriously injured. She rushed her to the hospital, where doctors performed a CT scan and discovered three fractures. Her daughter is expected to see a specialist later this week, and Henfield says she’s struggling to find the medications prescribed.

But Henfield also believes the attack may have been intentional. Earlier this year, her eldest son was shot and killed in Chippingham. She fears her daughter was targeted because of the tragedy her family endured.

“I loved my son. He was a good son, my angel,” she said. “Don’t be jealous of my daughter because she is very loving and well taken care of.”

With medical bills mounting and the investigation ongoing, Henfield is blaming the school’s administration. She says officials failed to protect her daughter and is calling on the Ministry of Education to step in.

She also claims the principal only reached out after her daughter had already been hospitalized.

As the investigation continues, Henfield says she wants accountability and safety for all students.
