UNITED STATES – JJ got her third straight double-double to help her New York Liberty get their third straight win, taking down the Connecticut Sun 82-75.

She had a team-high 23 points and 11 rebounds to put her old team away.

The Liberty actually went down 27-21 in the second quarter before regaining the lead before halftime. JJ led the way in that comeback, scoring 19 of her 23 points in the first half.

They would never relent, holding on to get the win.

Marine Johannes contributed 17 points and five assists to the Liberty effort, while Olivia Nelson-Ododa had 21 and 10 to lead the Sun.

Swimming

The Bahamas is cruising to their fourth straight win at the Goodwill Swim Meet in Trinidad and Tobago.

At the time of this recording, the Bahamas is in the lead with 968 points. Trinidad and Tobago is sitting at 850 points, and Jamaica is in a distant third with 721 points.

The team got some more relay wins, with the girls and boys U-8 squads, boys 9-10, girls 11-12, and 13-14 boys and girls all winning gold in the 200-meter relays. The 9-10 girls and the 15-17 boys grabbed silver in the relay, and the 15-17 girls took bronze.

And that was just one relay event.
