IRAN – Protests over soaring prices and a rapidly falling currency are spreading across Iran, entering a third day of unrest.

Demonstrations erupted after shopkeepers in Tehran’s Grand Bazaar went on strike when the Iranian rial hit a record low against the U.S. dollar.

Iran’s president says he has ordered talks with representatives of the protesters, accepted the resignation of the central bank governor, and promised to address economic concerns.
