Moss Stays in the MAC, Commits To Akron

U.S.A – Football player Khory Moss has officially ended his time in the NCAA transfer portal. Moss committed to the Akron Zips, and will continue his collegiate career in the Mid-American Conference.

U.S.A – Football player Khory Moss has officially ended his time in the NCAA transfer portal.

Moss committed to the Akron Zips, and will continue his collegiate career in the Mid-American Conference.

The defensive back spent his true freshman with the Miami (OH) Redhawks, which are also members of the MAC.

He saw limited game action as Miami went 7-7 overall record, with a 6-2 mark in MAC play, and finished as runners up in the Arizona Bowl.

Akron comes off a 5-7 season, 4-4 in the MAC.

Moss also becomes the second Bahamian player to join the Akron Zips program in recent years, following Offensive Lineman Amarie Archer, who came to Akron after stops at Dodge City and East Carolina.

Ayton Exits With Eye Injury

Deandre Ayton left Tuesday night’s road game against the Denver Nuggets with a left eye injury, and did not return in the Lakers’ 115-107 win.

Ayton suffered the injury in the second quarter, after logging 4 points and 8 rebounds in 15 minutes.

The Lakers have not released an updated timeline for his return, but he did post to his social media accounts sporting an eye patch.

Collins Named C-USA Player of the Week

Rhema Collins continues her standout season at FIU, and has been named conference USA player of the week for the second time.

Against Texas A&M, she had game-high 29 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting, while adding 13 points from the free-throw line.

She also pulled down 10 rebounds, to go along with two steals and two blocks.

Against UTEP she led all scorers with 22 points and hauled in a career-high 16 rebounds, with three blocks and three steals.

Collins is averaging 20 points and 10.7 rebounds per game this season with a conference leading nine double doubles, and is among the nation’s leaders in offensive rebounds.

Gorospe Competes at Great Abaco Classic

16-year-old Aidan Gorospe made history as the youngest Bahamian ever to qualify for the 2026 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic.

The 11th grader from the US Performance Academy competed against top professionals, firing rounds of 82 and 81 to finish with a 2-round total of 163, missing the cut.

The reigning Bahamian junior 18-and-under champ was also the second-youngest player ever to qualify for a Korn Ferry Tour Event.
