End the Cycle of Changing Government Every 5 Years

Philip Davis – Leader, PLP

“In 31 days, we have a choice. In 31 days, we can choose to continue to build our country. In 31 days, we choose to end the cycle of changing government every 5 years, where one administration starts the work and the next stops, reviews, and cancels it.”

Davis pointed to the progress he said that his government has made across sectors including the economy, education, healthcare, housing, and more.

“I am proud of what we have been able to achieve in government over the last 2 and a half years. We run on our record, while they run from their record.”

The PLP leader didn’t stop there, making his case for his government to remain in office when voters head to the polls next month, continuing to question Free National Movement leader Michael Pintard’s ability to lead both his party and the country.

Davis also referenced internal turmoil within the FNM since the party lost the 2021 general election, including the removal of then party leader and former Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis, and the party’s decision not to allow him to run on its ticket in the upcoming election.

“Poor Pintard, he does not lead his party. His party leads him. He takes instructions from the people who put him there and keep him there.”

“You might vote for Pintard and instead end up bringing back that old guard. They fight each other in parking lots, sue each other in courts, and even their former leader, a former prime minister, said he was the victim of skullduggery. Now you know things are bad when you start to feel sorry for Minnis.”

He closed his address by urging supporters to turn out on election day.
