NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s been 30 years since the Free National Movement secured its landmark win in the 1992 general election. The pivotal moment in Bahamian history cemented the legacy of a leader and a party that today serves as Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.

The current Free National Movement Leader reflecting on the legacy of Hubert Ingraham and the monumental win the party secured in the 1992 general election 30 years ago.

We meet up with Michael Pintard at the party’s Macket Street headquarters where the walls are lined with photos and clippings from the historic win.

Pintard says the 1992 win and the leadership of Former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham made such a huge impact on The Bahamas we have today, from infrastructure on the Family Islands, to the deepening of democracy and the liberalization of the airways.

Pintard says the party is also celebrating the contributions of all who worked in front of and behind the scenes to get the country where it is now.
