NEW YORK – VJ and the Philadelphia 76ers lost to the New York Knicks last night 108-94.

The 6’4″ combo guard from Bimini had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort.

Kelly oubre led the team with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Joel Embiid struggled, shooting 7-17 to finish with 18 points.

Jalen Brunson hit the Sixers up for a healthy 33 points and 9 assists.

The win puts the Sixers in a 3-0 deficit in the series – a hole that no team in the league’s history has ever been able to dig themselves out of.

The Mingoes fell to FC Dynamos in the semifinal match in The Bahamas men’s league knockout round earlier this week.

The team took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a 1-0 goal from Kevin Thomas in the 30th minute. But, Dynamos walked them down in the 2nd half going up 3-2 before UB tied the match 3 a piece, sending the match to PKS where they lost 5-4.
