UNITED STATES – One of The Bahamas’ top collegiate track and field stars is on the move.
Olympic semifinalist and World Under-20 champion Antoine Andrews has entered the NCAA transfer portal after four seasons with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Andrews leaves Lubbock, Texas, as one of the most accomplished hurdlers in program history.
He gained notoriety on the international scene in 2022 when he captured gold in the 110-meter hurdles at the World Athletics U20 Championships, becoming the first Bahamian to win a global junior title in the event.
Since then, he has continued to build an impressive résumé, earning NCAA All-American honors, collecting multiple Big 12 medals, and representing The Bahamas on the sport’s biggest stages.
In 2024, Andrews advanced to the semifinals of the men’s 110-meter hurdles at the Paris Olympics and later established a new Bahamian national record of 13.34 seconds in the event.
Earlier this year, he tied the Bahamian national record in the 60-meter hurdles with a world-leading time of 7.49 seconds.
Andrews immediately becomes one of the most attractive track and field athletes available in the transfer portal.
No announcement has been made regarding his next destination.

Clarke helped Spanish club Caja 87 secure promotion to Primera FEB, the third tier of Spanish professional basketball, in a dramatic playoff series against Sant Antoni.
Clarke played a key role in the club’s successful campaign, finishing second on the team in scoring and leading the squad in assists.
Over 30 games, he averaged 9.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
The 24-year-old has continued to build an impressive professional résumé since leaving college basketball.
After beginning his career at Akron, he transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he earned All-Conference honors before making the move to Europe.
With the promotion, Clarke and Caja 87 will now compete in Primera FEB next season, moving one step closer to Spain’s top professional league.
Basketball
Bahamian national team forward Kentwan Smith is right in the middle of a competitive playoff run in Romania.
Smith and SCM U Craiova currently lead their Liga Națională playoff series 2-1, but the Bahamian big man has been making his presence felt since the opening tip.
In Game One, Smith was limited to just five points in a loss as Craiova fell behind early in the series.
But he responded in a big way in Game Two, delivering a strong all-around performance with 18 points and 12 rebounds to help even the series and shift momentum back toward Craiova.
In Game Three, Smith stayed consistent, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds as the series continued to go back and forth.
Now ahead 2-1, Craiova heads into a crucial Game Four.
For Smith, it’s another chapter in a long professional career across Europe and another example of a Bahamian national team player making an impact on the postseason stage.
