EXUMA, BAHAMAS – Three of the seven people injured in a traffic accident on Exuma are still being treated for serious injuries.

Police say an American man and two Exuma residents remain in hospital in critical condition, while four others were treated and discharged.

The accident happening just after 8pm, Monday, in the area of Flamingo Bay and involved a white Wrangler Jeep carrying five Americans and a white flatbed truck carrying two Exuma residents.

Police say the jeep was traveling east on Queens Highway and the flatbed truck traveling west on the same road when the head on collision happened.

The victims were airlifted to New Providence for medical attention on Monday night.
