“Love so many people use your name in vain. That’s one of my favorite songs from you. I had to put that in there. I’m not the best singer.”

“No, you did just fine. Thank you, I appreciate it.”

“I feel a level of gratitude that there are so many people across different generations who have been able to experience, appreciate, and support the music that I’ve been blessed to put out. It’s always humbling. The fact that I still get to do it and people still show up and are still interested, because things can go in a lot of different ways. Not too many people are able to maintain the level of consistency and longevity that I’ve had, so like I said, it’s a privilege, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.”

Musiq explained that his reason for returning to Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club was straightforward: the team reached out, and he was available.

Nevertheless, he acknowledged his favorite things about The Bahamas.
