NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – After falling behind 0-2 to the Las Vegas Aces in the 2022 WNBA Finals, Jonquel Jones and the Connecticut Sun demonstratively beat the Aces 105-76, forcing a pivotal game 4.

Playing on their homecourt in Connecticut, the Sun dominated early, finishing the first quarter with a 34-15 lead, though the Aces would close the gap at the half. A heave at the buzzer by Kelsey Plum would narrow the Sun’s lead to 53 over the Aces’ 42.

Jones got off to a slow start, finishing the first half with 7 points.

She asserted herself in the second half, however, scoring 11 points in the 3rd quarter alone to help the Sun cruise to an easy victory. Jones would go blow-for-blow with WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who finished the game with 19 points.

Jones would finish with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Sun guard Dewanna Bonner contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists along with some stifling defense while their teammate Alyssa Thomas contributed a triple double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Jones and the Sun have a chance to tie the best-of-5 series during game 4 on Sunday at 4pm on the Aces’ homecourt in Las Vegas.
