EXUMA, BAHAMAS – The Ferry bridge in South-East Exuma which connects Great and Little Exuma is to be rebuilt.

The ministry of works announced plans for the 565 feet long, single-lane bridge.

Built back in 1965 that structure has deteriorated and a long overdue replacement
is said to be on the way.

No cost yet, but construction is estimated to take about two years.

Works and Utilities Minister Alfred Sears has promised it will not interfere with marine life.

While no one has been awarded a contract, The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies stand poised and ready.
