NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Despite heavy police and Defence Force presence scores of employees from the Ministry of Social Services gathered in front of the Office of the Prime Minister hoping to have their grievances heard.

Over 100 employees from the Ministry of Social Services gathered for a second day to protest over lack of promotions, pay and other issues.

With near tears in her eyes this employee, who wished not to be named, and works on a weekly contact said this.

Bahamas Public Services Union President Kimsley Ferguson simply says enough is enough.

And, whats the next step if their issues aren’t resolved, Ferguson says, “There is going to be action.”
