NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Higher-Level Band is back with another bush party this weekend, giving local entertainers an opportunity to show off their talents and skills.

The Higher-Level Band giving Bahamian entertainers a platform with its quarterly bush party.

Higher-Level Band Co-Leader JD Stuart says band members realized Nassau was lacking events that push authentic Bahamian music.

But he says now, that’s changing. This will be the fifth bush party but the fourth in-person event.

Stuart says this is expected to be the largest one yet adding Bahamian entertainers have faced a challenge with getting the support at local events.

The event will be this Sunday November 27 at Kamalame Place.

Bass player Jamaine Johnson says he’s hoping attendees can get an appreciation for the preparation that goes into events like these.

Gates open at 7pm, Sunday.
