NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Allegations of a WhatsApp data breach have many of the popular app’s users on edge. It’s possible that almost half a billion WhatsApp users from 84 countries may have their information up for sale on the dark web since last week.

Director of Information Security for the Cable Bahamas Group of Companies, Shakera Rolle tells us more.

In the meantime, Rolle advises you to use two-factor authentication where you can, and stay current with your phone’s security updates.

She also says to be conscious of the privacy permissions you allow your apps to access.
