80 Students Tour World’s Largest Cruise Ship
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Students from the science, technology, engineering and mathematics program took on the largest cruise ship in the world in an effort to learn more about maritime and engineering careers.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Students from the science, technology, engineering and mathematics program took on the largest cruise ship in the world in an effort to learn more about maritime and engineering careers.
The kids toured the ship’s engine room, learned about robotics at the bionic bar and even heard from a Royal Caribbean employee, 29-year-old Alicia Velazquez, an adventure ocean specialist who has visited 29 countries since starting her job four years ago.
Martha McFall, director of The Bahamas’ STEM Program says this year alone, a thousand students have gone through the STEM program. She tells us these kinds of programs help fill gaps where innovation is desperately needed in the education system.
