NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Top ranking members of the Free National Movement amping up their calls for the resignation of Works and Utilities Minister Alfred Sears, over ongoing concerns at several utility companies.

This isn’t the first time the Opposition has questioned Sears’ performance.

In mid-November, the Opposition pointed to the failure of the government to act appropriately to reduce the cost of electricity.

At that time, Pintard led a team of FNM supporters outside Office of the Prime Minister.

Sears was asked about their constant criticism outside the House of Assembly this morning.

The Opposition is also sounding the alarm over ongoing water issues in Eleuthera.

Yesterday, Central and South Eleuthera MP Clay Sweeting released a statement on the water crisis expressing disappointment to both the Minister of Works and the Chairman of the Water and Sewerage Corporation.
