NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Quentin Woodside is a staple in the Junkanoo community. He’s been in the industry for more than 50 years and has a passion for the culture.

Barabbas tells Our News he got his first taste of Junkanoo at the tender age of five. From then to now, his passion for the culture and art of Junkanoo has continued to blossom.

His journey took him through several A-groups, including the Saxons, the Valley Boys, and most famously for him, the Roots.

But he didn’t stop there. Barabbas would then leave Roots to form what it now known as Barabbas and the Tribe.

Barabbas loves Junkanoo so much he created a Junkanoo museum, known as Junkanoo World, inspired by his travels around the world.
