NASSAU, BAHAMAS – After repeated calls for her resignation by the Taxicab Union President, the transport minister is firing back.

Transport and Housing Minister Jobeth Coleby-Davis explains her side to the growing feud with the Bahamas Taxicab Union, after president, Wesley Ferguson told Our News on Monday that they are still waiting for a meeting with the minister.

Ferguson also launched a blistering attack against the transport minister saying she’s been missing in action for months, calling for Coleby-Davis to resign from her cabinet- appointed post.

The transport minister is calling his tone in the media disrespectful.

In July 2022, Ferguson suggested a 30 percent fare increase, but the transport minister told reporters, Thursday, it had not yet reached cabinet for discussion.
